Teaching at DPT Business School was a great educational opportunity for me. Over the years, I was able to work with students who had different learning styles, required different emotional needs, were of various social and economic backgrounds, and were of various cultures.
While at DPT Business School, I was involved with our business, allied health, and ESL programs and much of the school’s education services. I helped prepare our business and allied health students with the necessary skills to utilize the Microsoft Office suite of programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and to complete their programs of study.
Because of our diverse population, I developed excellent communication and interpersonal skills as I worked with all students and staff. I have been recognized for my high work quality, positive attitude, and teamwork skills.

You may have noticed some recycling containers in my classroom. Every Monday night, I take my weekly accumulation of bottles and cans home for recycling. Feel free to deposit your empty bottles and cans in one of these containers. Let's go green and make Al Gore proud of our school!
DPT Business School is a wholly owned subsidiary of Siemann Education Systems, Inc. Paul Siemann is the President and Chief Executive Officer of DPT Business School. DPT Business School was founded in 1987. At that time, the main focus was to train and place graduates as mainframe programmers, a technological discipline which was high in demand. The curriculum was designed to integrate technical theory with hands on training and to produce well rounded graduates ready for the complexities of the modern, auto-mated workplaces.
The philosophy behind the training was to motivate students personally and professionally in addition to providing information and technical skills. This training methodology was so successful that DPT graduates were soon the recognized standard of excellence for many of the top companies hiring in this industry. Since that time, DPT has grown enormously in size and scope. A second campus opened in Center City Philadelphia in 1995. In 1998, the school was purchased by Siemann Education Systems, Inc., a privately held corporation. A third campus was opened in downtown Denver, Colorado, in 1999 .
DPT offers a full range of diploma programs, at three facilities located in Northeast Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Center City Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The individual campuses are housed in comfortable settings that include lecture areas, computer labs (with course required hardware and software), and language labs for English as a Second Language instruction.
Small classes, personal attention to the students' needs, and our commitment to delivering the highest level of career training blend together to produce graduates who are ready for the challenges of today's workplace.

Education is the key to an individual's success. It is also a time that will provide a lifetime of memories and opportunities. The time spent in school will help students not only learn the necessary curriculum content standards, but will also help students develop friendships and social communication skills, uncover their strengths and passions to focus their energies, develop critical thinking skills, and to value the diversity of others to become productive members of a team
.
As a teacher, I strive to lead by example and to be a role model to my students. A teacher needs to be proactive in the classroom and to communicate effectively with not only the students but also with their families. Since all students are unique, education must be flexible enough to facilitate different learning styles, abilities, interests, and cultures. While in class and in school, students need to feel respected, valued, and safe.
My goal is to provide students with the technical, educational, social, and professional skills necessary for them to become productive members of society. Education is a team effort among the teachers and staff of the school and with the students and their families. In preparing our students for the future, we must also work closely with the local community and businesses.
With the proper support, every child has the potential to attain greatness.
